Bible Reading Guide

This week we will focus on a passage in Matthew that recounts a series of miracles that Jesus performed. We will also examine parallel accounts of some of these miracles found in the Gospels of Mark and Luke. In each of these accounts we discover miraculous evidence of Jesus’ divine authority. We find that he has authority over disease as he heals. We find that he has authority over nature as he calms a storm. We find that he has authority over Satan as he casts out demons. Ultimately, however, we find that he alone has the authority to call sinners to leave everything and follow him and then transform those sinners into righteous children of God.
