How's your heart? Print E-mail

Ever feel overwhelmed about "doing the right thing" and not "doing the wrong thing"?  I think Youth Minister's often get too caught up in encouraging teens to pray, read and serve and teaching you NOT to curse, drink and lie.  This list of do's and don'ts can make the Christian life seem more focused on what we do than what's going on in our hearts.  This list of do's and don'ts makes the Christian journey seem very performance based.  The Bible tells us that our actions are simply an overflow of what's going on inside of our hearts.  If we daily give our hearts to Christ and commit to following Him, we will want to follow Christ in all those other areas.

"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."  Luke 6:45

That's funny. A blog is a thing where you can tell what's going on in your life,
and stuff like that. It can also be about God. So, jump in. Tell me some
things... I will tell you about me.

See ya.

Scott,

When are you going to blog again? I am on this website most of the
time, and you aren't blogging. What's going on in your life? A lot of things are

Scott,

Write about a blog that describes your Ski Trip to Virginia... I would

It was probably very cold!...
